Ranked as one of the most remarkable sites in Occitanie, the medieval city of Carcassonne also draws its charm from the stretches of vineyards that surround it. The vineyards are planted on an exceptional clay-limestone terroir several thousand years old. It is divided between slopes covered with rolled pebbles at the foot of the Montagne Noire and small plains alongside the River Fresquel. The red wine is fruity and elegant. For the rosés and whites, the emphasis is on freshness, with notes of wild berries or floral notes for the whites. These are light, aromatic wines.
